… or is the engine completely dead even if the display is on? Then it may be the controller / control box that has been overloaded and needs to be replaced.
Overloading can occur if the motor over a shorter or longer period of time is loaded more than what it is actually designed for. Like all other engines, there is a natural limitation to be aware of. Use common sense and pay attention to the following to minimize the risk.
Examples of error codes that often indicate a defective controller are: Error 8 and error 12
The reasons for congestion can include:
if you drive uphill in too high a gear, with too few revolutions and step on the pedals too little.
if you ride with a heavy load on the bike.
if you only let the engine “work” without your help.
is not aware of any noises or error codes in the display.
if you are constantly using the throttle
